Auction Napa Valley 2018
Updated: Jul 17, 2018
During the 1st weekend of June, the 38th annual Auction Napa Valley charity wine event took place and Redmon Wines was thrilled to participate.
Redmon donated an E-Auction Lot and partnered with the Napa Valley Olive Oil Company to offer: 12 bottle of Redmon Wines, 4 bottles of premium olive oil, and a personalized picnic for 8 at the Redmon Ranch. Our top bidder was one of our long-time customers and friend, Rick Phillips. We can’t wait to host Rick and his guests!
The Auction was preceded by a lunch with our fellow participating vintners at Charter Oak in St. Helena. This year’s honorary chairs were the fourth-generation Mondavi sisters of the Peter Mondavi Sr. family, the Auction’s youngest leaders since inception in 1981!
On Friday, June 1st, the popular Napa Valley Barrel Auction was held at the Mondavi family’s historic Charles Krug estate. We poured our 2015 Chardonnay at an outdoor marketplace and were able to meet so many friends of Redmon, as well as future customers. And, of course, Lisa & Kara were excited to sample all the barrel ones up for bidding! It was a wonderful day filled with some spectacular wines from all our Napa Valley neighbors.
Overall, bidders and guests contributed over $13.8 million to the event. Proceeds from the auction benefit local community health and children’s education nonprofits, serving more than 100,000 clients in Napa County.
Looking forward to the 2019 Auction – cheers!
