Scott and I  had the chance to pour our wines at an amazing party this weekend held  a clients' home in Scottsdale, AZ.  The group shared cooking duties and prepared an amazing menu of crabcakes with remoulade, stuffed mushroom with turkey sausage, beef tenderloin with a cabernet sauce served with hash brown potatoes Au casserole and grilled asparagus.  The three wines paired beautifully with each course.  My favorite might have been the custom red velvet mini cakes dipped in white chocolate and topped with the Redmon "R" in red for dessert.

We had a fun night educating this group of 25 on the Napa Valley and the release of our 2008 Cabernets.  The group was a whole bunch of fun, the decor was beautiful and the food was delicious.  We hope to get invited back again!!!

Redmon Wines was thrilled to participate in The Guardsman's annual event in San Francisco this year.  The organization is a wonderful group of men who are helping to fund children's education. 

We poured both our Estate Cabernet and our new Cabernet Blend.  These newly released 2008's were a huge sucess.

Redmon Wines is excited to release two beautiful Cabernet's this week.  We have produced only 250 cases of each and expect it to go fast.

We are thrilled with the outcome of the Estate Cabernet this vintage and feel that the improvements we have made in the vineyard over the past years are really paying off. When we first took over the vineyard in 1999, we spent our first years updating the farming on our amazing 3 ½ acre piece of land. We changed the vines from head trained to trellis, put in a new irrigation system and paired our yield back from four tons per acre to two tons per acre.

We are also excited to release our first Cabernet Blend.  We've been working hard on this project over the last years and were able to source fruit from two lovely, small family farms in both Rutherford and St. Helena.  The blend is 81% Cabernet and 9 1/2% of each Merlot and Cabernet Franc.  The wine is showing beautifully and will be one that will really evolve over time.

Both wines are available on our webiste at www.redmonwines.com.  Stay tuned for information about the release of our 2009 Chardonnay in early July.
