About Us

The Redmon Wines story begins in 1999, the year we (Scott and Lisa) tied the knot. That first year we made wine in a small garage in Saint Helena with the help of a family friend. We hand picked the grapes from our family vineyard which we produced and bottled as our first vintage. We even printed and applied the capsule and our self-made label to each bottle. The wine was amazing. A year later we entered a bottle of the 1999 in the Napa County Fair and won! Redmon was awarded two distinctions, including a Gold Medal for the Cabernet category and over all Best-of-Show!

With confirmation of quality fruit from our Redmon Vineyard, the decision to take on this new venture in the wine business was an easy one for us as it incorporated all the pleasures of life that we enjoy – meeting new people, throwing amazing events and sharing the best of food and wine. This year we are celebrating our 10th harvest!

A little about Lisa and Scott:

Lisa moved to Saint Helena with her family in the early 1970’s. After graduating from Saint Helena High School, she spent time working in her family’s local restaurant until she decided to leave the small town she lived in and obtained her degree from the University of San Francisco. She stayed in the bay area and worked in sales and marketing for over 10 years in the technology and financial industries. In the late 1990’s she realized she wanted to head back to paradise in the Napa Valley with her new husband to start making wine.

Scott grew up in Utah where he learned about farming on the family fruit orchard and by spending summers at his grandparent’s dairy farm. After studying microbiology and chemistry in college, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he finished his graduate work in business and began a career in sales and marketing. While Scott enjoyed fine wine, it wasn’t until he married Lisa and moved to Napa Valley that he discovered his passion for making and producing premium wines.
